Most people would recognise a ‘spliff’ if they saw one, but would they recognise Ketamine,

Crystal Meth or Steroids without their associated paraphernalia? Would they be able to

distinguish between Alkyl Nitrite and Anabolic Steroids?

The NEW D&Wp S.I.D. Box has been designed to train participants to be able to identify drug associated substances without relying on their associated paraphernalia, i.e. pipes, bongs, syringes and mirrors etc, as clues.

To do this we have taken a small sample of all the replica substances found in the D&Wp Drug Box and presented each in an individual, numbered and securely sealed glass vial.  After removing the glass vials from the foam storage section and allowing your class to study the contents, simply turn the board over and see who can place as many of the 26 numbered vials into its correct slot on the S.I.D. Board.

You can test your participants individually, head-to-head or in small groups or teams.  A key has been provided for trainers to ensure correct identification and positioning on the S.I.D. Board.

CONTENTS OF THE NEW D&WP S.I.D. BOX

26 x S.I.D. bottles containing a small sample of a replica drug associated substance. Each S.I.D. bottle is securely sealed and labelled with a number. Participants must identify the contents and place each bottle in its corresponding 'slot' on the S.I.D. Board.
